Bridge Painting

What DOTs do we work with?

We provide Bridge Painting to a variety of DOTs, including:

  • Massachusetts DOT(MassDOT)
  • New Hampshire DOT (NHDOT)
  • Vermont DOT (VTrans)
  • Maine DOT (MaineDOT)
  • Rhode Island DOT (RIDOT)
  • Connecticut DOT (ConnDOT)

What coatings do we use?

Usually, bridge painting projects are specified before they come to us. We like to provide as much input to the DOT and GC as possible. Not all coatings systems are equal and our experience can help select a system best for the project and the time of year.

Often coatings are selected from NEPCOAT (North East Protective Coating Committee). We regularly work with NEPCOAT qualified products and incorporate them into our non-DOT work.

Do we work with Third Party inspectors?

Absolutely. We have our own rigorous SSPC Certified Quality Program. However, we understand owners many times want an outside source for QA.

We are happy to accommodate and have even given QA their own office space during long-term bridge painting projects.

What bridge painting is in our wheelhouse?

We pride ourselves on our ability to take on challenging bridge painting projects. We prefer the projects others avoid. We are experts in the following:

  • Finished Paint Systems
  • Thermal Spray Metallizing
  • Shop Applied Fireproofing

Who are our customers?

Our customers are mostly structural steel fabricators. Many of these fabricators have their own coatings facilities. They call us when their production is beginning to bottleneck or the coatings are to technical. Many of our customers have facilities larger than ours.

Outsourcing the coatings to a qualified shop not only opens more floor-space for the fabricator, but ensures the coatings are applied by an organization that views coatings as their sole business and not an ancillary service.
